A wardrobe you share, kept better than one you own.

Second Look began in a spare room in Bel-Air with eleven gowns and a steamer, because the founder was tired of watching friends buy a ₱30,000 dress for one night and never wear it again.

Today we hold 43 physical garments across 10 styles, and we have sent 33 of them out to debuts, weddings, galas and graduations across Metro Manila. Every one of them comes back, gets inspected, gets cleaned, and goes out again.

How we are different from a shop

A shop tracks stock. We track garments. Each piece in this collection has a unit code, a calendar, a rental count, a condition history and a photographic record of every return. When the site says a gown is free on the 12th, a specific gown is free on the 12th — with the days for preparation, return, inspection and cleaning already accounted for.

That is not an operational detail; it is the whole promise. Nobody arrives at their debut to a message saying the dress did not make it back in time.

Who works here

Six of us: two on the floor, a full-time tailor who alters every piece to the renter and reverses it afterwards, a cleaner who has handled piña and beadwork for twenty years, a rider, and whoever is doing the books that week.

The pieces

We buy from Filipino designers and ateliers where we can — Maison Lunaire in Quezon City, Casa Aurelia’s beaders, the barong artisans of Lumban, Laguna — and from vintage and archive sales where we cannot. Nothing enters the collection without being worn, moved in, and photographed first.
