Damage
What counts as damage, and what does not
Clothes are worn. We expect normal wear and we absorb it. What we charge for is damage that takes a piece out of the collection.
What we absorb
- Make-up and deodorant marks at the neckline and underarm
- Light perfume and hairspray residue
- Hem dust and floor marks
- A few loose beads or sequins on hand-beaded pieces
- Ordinary creasing
All of the above is what our cleaning is for, and it is included in the rental.
What we charge for
| Severity | Examples | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Loose threads, a missing button, a small repairable tear, a missing bead or sequin beyond normal shedding | ₱300–₱1,000, or the actual repair cost, whichever is higher |
| Moderate | Broken zipper, torn lining, torn strap, a stain needing specialist treatment | ₱1,000–₱3,500, plus repair costs where applicable |
| Severe | Burn marks, permanent stains, large tears, fabric damage, unauthorised alterations | 30%–100% of the replacement value, depending on extent |
A missing accessory (belt, sash, chain, hair piece) is charged at its replacement cost; damage from self-alteration or home laundering is charged at the cost of restoration.
Lost items
A lost, stolen or irreparably damaged piece is the renter’s responsibility, charged at its full replacement value less the deposit already held. Replacement values are determined from the piece’s purchase cost, current market value, replacement availability and restoration costs, and the figure is stated on your rental agreement from the start — never invented after the fact.
How damage is assessed
- Every piece is photographed at dispatch, with you present at pickup.
- On return it is photographed again and compared against those images.
- Where damage is found, a damage review is opened. You receive the photographs, the assessment and the charge before anything is deducted.
- The charge is taken from your security deposit. Anything beyond the deposit is invoiced, and anything left over is released to you.
- The piece then goes to repair — 3 days — before it re-enters the collection.
Disputing an assessment
Reply to the condition report within seven days. We will send the full photograph set from both ends of the rental and the repairer’s quotation. Where the evidence is genuinely ambiguous, we waive the charge.
If something happens on the night
Message us straight away on Viber. Do not attempt to treat a stain yourself — untreated stains are far cheaper to remove than ones that have been rubbed, heated or bleached. Early notice routinely halves the charge.
