Rental policy

The terms of every rental

These terms are recorded against your booking as a digital agreement at the moment you pay, and emailed to you.

Eligibility

Renters must be 18 or older, or booking with the consent of a parent or guardian who provides the payment method. A valid government ID is presented at pickup or on delivery.

What you are renting

You rent one specific physical garment, identified by its unit code, for the exact dates on your booking. You may not sub-let, lend or transfer the piece to another person, or use it for commercial photography or filming without written consent.

Rental period

  • Rentals come in 4, 7 or 10 days, starting on your scheduled delivery or pickup date and ending at 8:00 PM on the return date.
  • We recommend booking 714 days before your event to secure availability; the calendar accepts reservations months ahead.
  • We need at least 1 day of notice before a rental starts, and one further day when we deliver.
  • A piece stays available to other customers until your payment is received — a reservation is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.
  • After every rental the piece is off the calendar for 4 days of return, inspection and cleaning.

Item condition

Every garment is inspected and quality-checked before release, and arrives professionally cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of normal wear may be present and are considered acceptable — these are loved pieces, not museum pieces.

Fit and alterations

  • Complimentary fittings are available at the studio by appointment.
  • Alterations within the rental period are free and performed by our tailor only. They are reversed before the next rental.
  • Permanent alterations are strictly prohibited: no cutting, sewing, hemming, dyeing, resizing or fabric modification of any kind. Self-altered garments — cut hems, taken-in seams, safety pins through fabric, adhesive tape residue — are charged as damage and may incur repair or replacement charges.

Care while it is with you

  • Do not wash, dry-clean, iron or steam the garment yourself.
  • Apply perfume, tan and hairspray before dressing.
  • Store on the hanger provided, in the garment bag, away from direct sunlight.
  • Report any accident immediately on Viber — early notice usually reduces the repair cost.

Liability

From collection until the piece is scanned back in at the studio, the renter is responsible for it — including loss and theft. Where a piece is lost or unrepairable, the renter is liable for its stated replacement value, less the deposit already held.
