Security deposit
Your deposit, and when it comes back
The deposit is not a fee. It is your money, held against damage or a late return, and released as soon as the piece is checked in clean.
How much
The deposit is half the rental fee, per piece — shown on every listing and at checkout. Rent three garments and each carries its own deposit, because each is its own risk of damage or loss. It scales with what you rent, never with the garment’s retail value.
When it is collected
With the rental fee at checkout, in a single payment. Your confirmation and your account both show the refundable portion separately from the rental fee, so you always know what is coming back.
How it is tracked
Every deposit moves through four states, visible in your account at all times:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The booking exists but payment has not cleared. |
| Held | Collected and held against your rental. |
| Deducted | A damage or late-return charge has been taken, with the reason recorded. |
| Released | Returned to your payment method. |
When it comes back
Deposits are released after three things finish: the return, the inspection and the damage assessment. Processing takes 1–5 business days — usually the same day inspection finishes. It is refunded to the method you paid with: GCash and Maya are near-instant, cards depend on your issuer.
If something is charged against it
You receive the condition report and the charge before any deduction. The remainder is released at the same time as the assessment — we never hold the balance while a dispute is open.
On cancellation
The deposit is always returned in full, whatever the rental-fee refund percentage.
